TORONTO — BONE Structure launches innovative Toronto home in the Don Mills neighbourhood during an open house event
The design provides the ability to modify the home’s interior and select custom exterior finishings. The open house was held Sept. 25. BONE Structure’s options include single-family dwellings and multi-residential units up to four storeys, which provide health benefits, reduce carbon footprint and create energy efficiencies. The custom, two-storey model home in Toronto will still be under construction, but visitors were be able to see the skeleton of the BONE Structure system and attributes. The house features an energy-efficient and economical thermal envelope system — which includes hermetic encasement consisting of a soya-based polyurethane spray foam insulation and aerated basement slab void forms made from 100 per cent recycled plastic. The BONE home uses the ICF Foundation building system which uses insulated concrete form. The home will have wide open spaces and wall-ceiling fenestration and the Integrated Measuring System also allows owners to modify the interior at any time by clicking or unclicking walls, windows and doors.
